About Us

Dormans Evening WI is part of the National Federation of Women's Institutes and is a place where women meet once a month for educational and social interaction. Words that members use to describe DEWI are "friendly", "fun", "caring", "a happy family", "a place where friendships and knowledge are always expanding" and "a privilege to belong". It is a very special WI.

DEWI meetings are held at the Parish Room, Dormansland, at 8.00 pm on the second Thursday of each month, with the exception of one meeting in June or July when we hold an open-air meeting at a suitable venue.

Members hail from far and near. About half our eighty members live in Dormansland and Dormans Park. Others come from Lingfield, East Grinstead, Forest Row, Sharpthorne, Blindley Heath, Horne and Eastbourne.
